A Chili Cook-Off will be held by the EAA Chapter 320 at the Watertown Municipal Airport later this month.
This event is free and open to the public. Monetary donations will be accepted and will go to the chapter towards promoting its mission of advancing aviation in the community.
People are encouraged to enter this competition. Contestants will need to bring at least one crockpot or pot of chili, their own serving utensils, their own warming mechanism, and any additional fix-ins needed for their chili. Chilis can be of any variety, such as traditional, white, or venison.
The chapter will provide extension cords as needed; identification cards for each chili contestant; plates, bowls, silverware, and napkins; classic fix-ins for chili such as sour cream, shredded cheese, and onions; and desserts and beverages. Contests like this one may ask for assistance from local Print shops to help with the creation of identification cards, as well as with Logo Design to aid promotion.
The Chili Cook-Off will be held on Saturday. February 25. Contestants will begin to set up their chili stations as of 10:45 am. Attendees will be able to begin sampling the entries at 11:00 am, with voting for their favorite chili recipe ending at 12:30 pm.
