The city of Jefferson will be holding a grand re-opening later this month in celebration of the renovations completed in the historic district.
Residents of nearby Watertown will not want to miss this special event. Poster printing can be used throughout a region to make residents aware of such special events.
The celebration will include Plein Air Artists in the downtown offering creative work in their own unique styles throughout the day. The Riverside Alleyway will host a variety of activities and there will be a presentation of the new mural on city hall, the lighting of the new walking bridge, and many kiosks.
From 1:00 to 3:00 pm there will be crafts for kids, and from 1:00 to 4:00 pm there will be live music with The Swing Crew, both on East Milwaukee Street. From 2:00 to 6:00 pm, there will be wagon rides beginning in front of the BP gas station, and from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, food trucks in Rotary Park. Rotary Park will also host outdoor games and live music with Pink Houses from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The day will end with the bridge lighting at Rotary Park at 7:00 pm.
Jefferson city administrator, Tim Freitag, said the city has been hard at work to improve the downtown to attract people and make it a place welcome to visitors. The celebration will take place this Saturday, October 22.
