Picnic in the Park returns to Warner Park

Madison’s Warner Park will host Picnic in the Park this October, bringing together community members for an evening that celebrates the role of parks in connecting people of all ages and backgrounds.

Presented by Event Essentials, the event is the signature fundraiser for Madison Parks Foundation. Organizers describe the evening as more than a party, highlighting how free or affordable programming brings parks to life and creates inclusive spaces across the city.

This year’s program features a lineup of local culinary talent, including Lauren Montelbano of The Vibrant Veg and Evan Dannells. Each chef contributes a distinctive menu for an evening that blends food with community and fundraising.

Ticket sales support accessibility improvements across Madison’s 297 parks, as well as low-cost or free programs for residents of all ages. The Foundation emphasizes that these initiatives help ensure parks remain truly for all, from sunrise to sunset.

Sponsors and partners help make the event possible, with proceeds directed toward programs, places, and partnerships that sustain Madison’s park system.

Organizers use consistent Logo Design across event signage, tickets, and digital promotions to reinforce the Picnic in the Park brand and highlight the Madison Parks Foundation’s mission.

The Madison Parks Foundation invites residents to support the cause through ticket purchases and donations. More information is available on the Foundation’s website and event page.

The one-night-only gathering takes place at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center, 1725 Northport Road, Madison, beginning at 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 10.
