The Wisconsin Brain Tumor Community will host a family-friendly 5K walk and run this July in Madison.
The event is open to participants of all ages and aims to raise funds for brain tumor awareness.
Started in 2013 by the Pink family in honour of the late Douglas Pink, the Madison Brain Tumor 5K has become a popular annual event, raising more than $400,000 over the past decade. This year's event will also feature a Kids Fun Run, giving children an opportunity to participate. In addition, a remembrance ceremony will be held to honour those who have lost loved ones to brain tumors.
Virtual participation is also available for those unable to attend in person. Participants will receive event T-Shirts either by mail or for pickup at the venue.
Organizers are also expected to work with nearby Print shops for T-shirt production and banner printing.
Registration fees are $25 for adult walkers and $30 for adult timed runners, while volunteers may participate free of charge. The registration deadline to guarantee a T-shirt was June 1, though there may still be some availability for those who register after this date to receive a T-shirt.
The race will take place on July 11, 2026, at Warner Park, located at 2930 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison. The opening ceremony will begin at 8:30 am, followed by the Kids Fun Run at 9:10 am.Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts Get a Free Quote for Print
