Madison enjoys music and lights
Madison is gearing up for the holiday season with Holiday Fantasy in Lights and a singalong.
Holiday Fantasy in Lights is in full swing with more than 50 twinkling LED light displays in a drive-through experience with scenes inspired by coloring book-type designs. WVMO will provide a soundtrack that will be available to vehicles as they drive through the displays. Candy canes are being distributed every night from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm or until supplies run out.
Although admission is free, donations will be accepted for organizations such as Project Home, Habitat for Humanity, Big Step and the UW Burn Center.
Holiday Fantasy in Lights will be at Olin Park, 1156 Olin Court, from dusk to dawn November 15th to December 31st.
Babcock Dairy, 1605 Linden Drive will offer Fantasy in lights sugar cookie flavor ice cream infused with butter cream swirls of green and red "lights".
Madison Symphony Orchestra and the Overture Center for the Arts will present a Free Community Carol Sing-along. Madison Symphony Orchestra's Principal Organist Greg Zelek will lead everyone in singing beloved holiday carols and accompany them on the Overture Concert Organ.
Occasionally, an avid carol singer will get a little flyer printing done for events like this to get the word out in their neighborhoods and workplaces.
The Carol Singalong will take place from 11:00 am to noon on Saturday, December 6th at Overture Hall, 201 State Street.
