Madison artists display work at winter art fair
Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople, Inc will be presenting its 36th Annual Winter Art Fair Off the Square here in Madison in early November.
This two-day event will feature more than 135 Wisconsin based craftspeople and artists displaying and selling art glass, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, sculptures, photography, paper-making projects, wood, photography and graphics.
The fair will feature a Young Collector's Corner, a specially designated area where children under 12 may buy their own art pieces. The artists and craftspeople exhibiting in the show will offer some of their artwork at prices kids can afford.
A silent auction will take place on Saturday. Items up for bid will be donated by those artists showing at the event.
Artists that donate items at events such as this often have custom-made business cards included with the artwork.
Among the jobs needed for volunteers, such as manning the Young Collector's Corner and setting up and maintaining the silent auction, will be distributing flyers and posters to local hotels.
Admission will be $5 for adults and free for children 12 years old and younger. Parking will be $5 per day.
Madison's Winter Art Fair off the Square will take place Saturday, November 8th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, November 9 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm inside the Monona Terrace Convention Center, 1 John Nolen Drive.
