Madison enjoys beer and cheese celebration

In true Wisconsin fashion, Madison will be featuring its 16th annual Beer and Cheese Fest in mid-January.

More than 80 cideries, breweries and meaderies including Bells Brewery, White Winter Mead, Cider, Spirits and Surly Brewing Company will be offering unlimited samples in 5 oz. souvenir snifter glasses. More than 2000 pounds of artisanal cheese will be available from local cheese makers and food vendors will include Ben's Soft Pretzels, Ian's Piazza and Say Cheese Curd Company.

Food vendors at events such as this often get their paper products printed with logos or graphic designs at local Print shops.

Erica Dane Jaqua One Man Band, The Rhinemaidens and violinist Wendy Lynn Markus will provide the live music and Janisch Creative will be giving cheese carving art demonstrations using 40-pound blocks of cheese. Guests may enjoy participating in competitions such as Nail Hammering, Cornhole, stein relay races, stein hoist Giant Jenga and Spanish Long Pour.

General admission will be $60 to $65 and come with 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm entry, unlimited samplings and snifters. Designated drive tickets will cost $30. Attendees must be over 21.

Paid parking will be available.

This year's Beer and Cheese Fest will take place from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Alliant Energy Center, 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, Saturday, January 17th, 2026. Last pour will be 5:45 pm.
