Museum to shed light on artwork

In an exhibition taking place this weekend, guests will have the opportunity to study the effects that light have on various surfaces and structures, and be able to see the transformations that light can create.

The museum may have used a collection of printing services to share information about this new exhibit with people from all across the region.

The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art is set to showcase the ‘Lighting as Art’ exhibition that provides people with a broader spectrum of examples of the way light can be used. Guests will learn about how light can be integrated into space to create special effects depending on the fixture, location, height, amount of light, and focal point when used in conjunction with a piece of art. Participants will be able to see how the light plays off the various surfaces and enhances the architectural details of chosen spaces.

The Lighting as Art exhibition will be taking place on Saturday, April 26, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art’s Sate Street Gallery, which is located at 227 State Street.

The exhibit is handicapped accessible. To find out more about what guests can expect, visit the museum’s website or call it during business hours. Those interested can also speak to Sarah Linn at 608-257-0158 x 230.
