Wisconsin Art of the Cheese has been scheduled for the end of September.
New this year will be the Art of Cheese Open where golf and cheese enthusiasts along with Wisconsin cheesemakers will be playing 18 holes of golf. Guests may also join in the cheese-themed hole competitions.
The Wisconsin Art of Cheese Open will take place Thursday, September 25th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Oaks Golf Course, 4740 Pierceville Road, Cottage Grove.
On Friday, September 26th the festival will offer five train excursions- a cheese tasting ride, cheese and bourbon experience, wine and cheese excursion, creamery tasting and tour, and a city cheese tour and lunch.
Later that evening, there will be the Wisconsin Cheese Ball: A Night in Lights with Wisconsin rock stars providing the entertainment.
On Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, the Cheese Fair Off the Square in Downton Madison, at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and W Main Street, will have attendees shopping, savoring and sampling Wisconsin cheeses. Workshops will include pairings; cooking exploring Wisconsin's dairy legacy; painting Wisconsin cheese and how to arrange a cheddar flight. There will also be Wisconsin Cheese Crawls in the Willy Street area and around Capitol Square.
Guests that attend fairs like this often collect Business Cards from those vendors whose samples they especially enjoy.
On Sunday there will be Cheese Yoga and a Wisconsin Cheese, Bubbles and Brunch at Graze.
Wisconsin Art of the Cheese will take place September 25th through the 28th.
