Madison walks in a Winter Wonderland

Wisconsin Union is presently presenting a series of wintertime activities called “Winter Wonderland.” The event is going on now until mid-February.

Tuesday Night hikes are planned for tomorrow (January 12) and Tuesday next week and (January 19). The hikes will be one-hour treks (5:00 pm to 6:00 pm) on Lakeshore Path starting near Memorial Union’s Outdoor UW’s office. The January 19 one will have trivia questions and a prize drawing.

Free daily Winter Scavenger Hunts are scheduled from January 17 through February 14. Guests will be hunting for 15 clues placed around the East Campus Mall and the Memorial Union. Once the clues have been answered correctly, the participant will get a chance to receive gift cards values at $5 to $25.

A Take-to-Make Snowman Project Kit can be picked up at the North Park Street Memorial Union doors at the turnaround from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on January 23. One option will be a snowman luminary and the other a snowman letter writing kit.

A virtual MLK Symposium featuring author and journalist Isabel Wilkerson will take place Monday, January 25 at 6:00 pm. Registration will be required to get the link.

Those having their pictures taken at the Instagram cut-outs backdrop at the Downtown Business Center 452 State Street will receive a gift and be eligible for a downtown Madison $100 gift card.
