Summer in Madison means festivals and this year will be no exception. Marquette Waterfront Festival 2022 will kick off the season in mid-June followed closely by Madison Jazz Festival: Jazz on the Terrace.
The Marquette Waterfront Festival, in its 33rd year, will mix local and national artists performing on two stages. Along with special craft beer and wine tents, the venue will have Madison restaurants showcasing their signature cuisines. Local businesses and vendors, artists will be on site passing out information and selling their goods and services.
Attendees at events such as this often amass Business Cards from those businesses, artists and vendors whose services, work and items they especially enjoy.
Kids can enjoy games and the Dandelion Dash starting Saturday at 11:30 am. The annual Fools’ Flotilla will be returning Sunday at 10:00 am.
Marquette Waterfront Festival 2022 will take place Saturday, June 11 from 12:30 pm to June 12, 9:30 pm at Yahara Place Park, 2025 Yahara Place.
Also, overlooking Lake Mendota, jazz fans will get the opportunity to sit back with cold drinks and enjoy two afternoons and evenings listening to the likes of the Dayhuff/Collier/Davis Trio, Sarah Greer, Sharel Cassidy and the UW Faculty Band, Charanga Agoza, and Mama Digdown’s Brass Band.
The annual free Madison Jazz Festival: Jazz on the Terrace will offer music from 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm on June 18 and 19 at Memorial Union Terrace, 800 Langdon St.
