MadisonIsMusic, along with Greater Madison Music City, will be presenting the MadisonIsMusic 2024 concert series in over a two-week period in early September.
The lineup will consist of emerging Madison talent. R&B pop singer and songwriter Alise Mosley will start the series on September 5th. She will be followed by Madison's own wavy lyricist BOBdAHIPPIE on the 6th. The artist for the September 7th performance is yet to be announced, and, known as "Madison's Maramba Man", Eric De Los Santos will perform from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Madson Night Market on the 12th.
Lake Collective, a two-man band playing oldies, goodies and newbies, headed by Linell a who plays a few instruments including drums, will perform on the 13th.
Concluding the series on the 14th, The Soul Impressions, and organ trio of Madison's local jazz community, will be playing African American soul/pop '60s and '70s reimagined classic music reminiscent of Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack and Marvin Gaye.
Fans who attend retro concerts often enjoy going online and purchasing merchandise such as T-Shirts, head bands and hoodies featuring their iconic favorite musician's or singer's graphic design.
Five of the concerts will run from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the intersection of State Street and Frances Streets at the Frances Street Plaza on Madison's State Street pedestrian mall.
