In a few days, and for the 29th time, the United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Dane County will be presenting its Annual Celebrity Banquet & Auction.
The event will once again be the main fundraiser for the organization, and will support services and programs for 1,600 local adults and children in Southern Wisconsin who have cerebral palsy.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception. The silent auction will follow, then the dinner will be served by celebrities from around the area. Dinner will end with a speaker, after which there will be celebrity-themed games. The evening will end with the announcement of the Grand Prize winner.
Over 40 local celebs are expected to attend. Some servers will be Dan Bonanno (who calls himself “A Pig in a Fur Coat”), Ed Chamberlain (from Madison Capitols), Cindy Bremser (a former Olympian), Ann Gavin (author), John Kovalic (Creative Genius), Sheriff Dave Mahoney (from Dane County), and Joe Herr (Madison’s Leprechaun).
Organizers of the silent auction are hoping to reach a goal of $80,000, which will be entirely possible since hundreds of guests are expected to attend this event. Everyone will want to remember to bring their digital Business Cards for networking purposes.
The event is scheduled for this Saturday, February 20, and will run from 5:30 pm until 10:00 at the Blackhawk County Club, 3606 Blackhawk Drive, Madison. Reservations are required.
