Madison Opera puts fall season online

Although Madison Opera’s Margaret C. Winston Madison Overture Center is closed for the fall season, opera lovers can still enjoy the season performances both live and digital by purchasing the $50 Digital Fall subscription package.

Online events will Unfinished Operas on Opera Novice on November 5 from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and The Chorus discussion on the 15th Opera up Close Cocktail Hour from 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm. December programs will be Subscribers’ Choice on Opera Novice on December 3, and Designers’ discussion on the Opera Up Close Cocktail Hour on December 13.

Rehearsal Hall will have live performances open to limited audiences. The performances will then go online for the Digital Fall patrons.

This Saturday, October 24, Kyle Ketelsen will sing a Tribute to Giorgio Tozzi. This will be his inaugural performance at the Center as he honors his Indiana University teacher. He will be joined by soprano Emily Secor. The performance will begin at 7:30 pm.

Another live performance will be an Evening of Friendship on Saturday, November 21. Wisconsin natives, mezzo Emily Fons, and soprano Amanda Majeski will be bringing their long friendship to the stage with a program of duets and storytelling. The event will begin at 7:30 pm.

More events are being added even though the fall brochure printing has already been done.
