Madison on the run for St. Patrick's

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County is once again inviting all Madison runners to its annual Madison Shamrock Shuffle coming in mid-March.

Swag will include race bibs, green ultra-soft vintage T-Shirts sporting the Madison Shamrock Shuffle Logo Design, snacks and refreshments, medals for winners in 12 age categories, and professional race timing. Runners are encouraged to dress in Irish-related attire and enter the Best Dressed Shuffler Contest.

Registration for the 10k will be $45 until March 10, when it will go up by $5. This race will start at 8:15 am. The 5k Run/Walk will have $45 registration fee, which will go up to $50 the day before the race, and begins at 8:25 am. The virtual 5k and 10k will also cost $45 and increase to $50 after March 10. Both corporate and social teams are being formed.

This event benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County, and since its inception, has raised over $400,000.

Packets will be available from 7:00 to 7:45 on race day at the Pyle Center. At 7:45 am, there will be a few announcements followed by the starts. At 9:30 am the UW Madison Irish Dancers will perform, and the awards ceremony begins at 9:45 am.

The Madison Shamrock Shuffle will take place Saturday, March 11 in downtown Madison. As in the past, the race will begin and end on State Street at the 600 block.
