Madison holds events in this year's Wisconsin Science Festival

Madison will be the host of four events in this year's Wisconsin Science Festival: Curiosity Unleashed, which has been scheduled for a week in mid-October.

On Monday, October 14, American Meteorological Society members will be leading guided public tours on the rooftop of the Atmospheric Oceanic and Space Science Building on the University of Wisconsin’s Madison campus at 1225 West Dayton Street. Guests will be treated to a discussion of all the research being undertaken, getting a view of satellites and the city's skyline. This event will take place from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and admission will be free.

The DC Smith Greenhouse, 465 Babcock Drive, will hold a special free self-guided open house from Monday to Friday, October 14 to 18, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.

Another free multiple-day event will be at the Wisconsin Science Museum, 2300 S Park Street, Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, where guests may observe science, engineering, technology, and mathematics demonstrations, displays, and programs.

Field Day Learning Games will be available online at www.wiscifest.org. Educational games each lasting 20 minutes will be available from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm from Monday through Sunday.

Science enthusiasts wishing to get the word out might arrange flyer printing and place Flyers in their workplaces and neighborhoods.
