Madison's 25th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will be coming in mid-March.
This year's proceeds will go to the Carbone Cancer Center, Jim Lemon Foundation, Logan's Heart and Smiles, and GiGi's Playhouse – Madison. This year's grand marshals will be Emmy-award news anchor winner Amber Noggle and award-winning journalist Brandon Taylor.
To begin the festivities, everyone will be at the Capitol Rotunda at noon when Dane County Shamrock Club will raise the Irish flag.
The staging area for the parade will be at the intersection of N. Hamilton, N Pinkney, and E Mifflin. The parade will begin on East Mifflin at 1:30 pm and will go around the Capitol counterclockwise and end on East Washington Avenue.
There will be a St. Patrick's Day Raffle again this year, with prizes geared to golf lovers. Among the items up for grabs are foursomes and carts to four local golf clubs, pro shops gift cards, and University of Wisconsin's men's basketball courtside tickets. Winners will be announced at 3:30 pm at I. J's Sports Taverns & Grill, 8 N Paterson Street. This will be a fundraiser for the aforementioned charities.
The 25th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place Monday, March 17, which is St. Patrick’s Day itself, at the Capitol Square. Some events like these have their Posters printed at nearby Print shops.
