Lights and fireworks burst over the lake this Labor Day

The 5th Annual Lights on the Lake Boat Parade and Fireworks Display will provide people with the opportunity to enjoy a great family event in one of their local parks along the lake on Labor Day. This event has many pre-show activities and events planned and should be ideal for all age groups. Local printing companies may have supplied the poster printing and flyer printing services used to promote this event and throughout the area.

A family fundraising event, it usually attracts many thousands of spectators along the shoreline of Lake Mendota. Viewers are invited to participate by attending at either Burrows Park, Maple Bluff Beach Park, Tenney Park, James Madison Park, Edgewater Hotel, or UW Union Terrace, with each location featuring different types of musical entertainment.

The pre-show entertainment for the evening is ‘Taste of Madison’ and takes place at Capitol Square. Part of the proceeds from this fundraising event will benefit the Yahara Lake Association and Madison City Parks for shoreline beautification. It features a parade of boats with the formation of the parade taking place from 7:00 pm to 7:45 pm. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:15 pm.

Donations will gladly be accepted to cover the cost of fireworks, but the event is free to attend and will be happening on Sunday, September 1, at various locations along the lake in Madison, Wisconsin. To learn more about the day, or the parade route, please visit the event’s website.
