Self-proclaimed bubbleologist Geoff Akins-Hannah will be giving a presentation in Madison this holiday season aimed at inspiring children.
Through his mantra “anything is possible”, he talks about striving to achieve goals in an entertaining and sometimes humorous way.
For families looking for something different this holiday season, Akins-Hannah offers an educational experience by making a wide variety of bubbles in shapes most have never seen before, like a caterpillar, volcano, and bubbles that can dance. He even puts a child volunteer inside a bubble. He calls his presentation ‘The Bubble Wonders Show’, although it goes beyond bubble tricks.
His aim is to instill those who watch him perform with a sense of empowerment through storytelling, a few magic tricks, and of course by making bubbles that bring smiles to the faces of those watching. As part of the presentation, Akins-Hannah, a former special education teacher, offers a running gag, pretending to fail repeatedly at making a square bubble. In the end he achieves his goal and therein provides a lesson on persistence.
