Social Science Medicine Health is hosting this year’s Madison Marathon in just over two weeks’ time.
The event will include a half marathon, 10k, and the full marathon. All races will begin and end on Capitol Square.
Swag for the full and half marathons will include free race photos, free runner tracking, post-race meal, one complimentary beer for runners over 21, orange and gold finisher medals, pace groups, and long-sleeved premium soft shirts sporting this year’s Madison Marathon graphic design.
Overall full marathon female and male winners will receive $1,500 in prize money. Second place will receive $750 each, and third place female and male finishers will get $375. There will be awards for the top three male and female finishers in 12 age groups, and to first, second, third, fourth and fifth place overall female and male finishers over age 40 in the Masters Marathon Division. Also, a Madison Marathon Special Award will go to the first wheelchair to cross the finish line.
Madison Marathon will take place Sunday, November 13. The full marathon will start at 6:55 am with the Wheelchairs and my TEAM Triumph. At 7:00 am, the main Madison Marathon will begin. The half marathon will have a 7:05 am Wheelchair start, and the main start will be at 7:15 am. The 10k will begin at 7:25 am.
