The 2021 American Family Insurance Championship Golf Tournament will be coming for seven days in June, albeit with a limited number of spectators.
Madison fans are to bring their lawn chairs and sit along the 18 holes at least six feet apart. Limited concessions will be available. Event merchandise featuring this year’s graphic design will be available online. Part of the proceeds will go to charities, including the American Family Children’s Hospital.
Festivities will begin on Saturday with the UW Carbone’s Race for Research 5k Two-week Virtual Challenge. This year, the event will be handled through STRAVA on its tracking app. The link will be emailed to registrants in May.
On the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the Pro-Am Tournament will take place on the course and will be closed to the public.
Friday’s AmFam Championship will open at 7:00 am. At that time the ticket office, Will Call and gates open. The American Family Children’s Hospital first shot will be at 8:30 am and round one begins at 8:50 am. Play will end around 5:00 pm.
The next morning, the event opens at 8:30 am and round two begins at 9:50 am. Gates close at 6:30 pm.
For Sunday, the event opens at 8:30 am, round three begins at 10:00 am, and the trophy ceremony starts at 5:00 pm.
The 2021 American Family Insurance Championship will take place June 5 through 13 in Madison at the University Ridge Golf Course, 9002 County Road PD.
