Madison folk who may feel down due to the cold weather can be of good cheer, because it will soon be time for the Wisconsin Public Television Garden Expo.
Guests will be able to take a leisurely walk through a landscaped indoor public garden and get ideas for improving their own outdoor space. Proceeds will go to Wisconsin Public Television.
Attendees will be able to talk with local Garden Masters and experts from the University of Wisconsin’s horticultural center, and can choose from more than 150 lectures, seminars, and workshops as they check out the latest trends in garden and landscaping.
Hundreds of exhibitors, from local businesses and independent contractors to artists and nonprofits, will be on hand to display new as gardening techniques, as well as the tried and tested formulas, while showing off their landscaping supplies, services, and equipment.
Raffle tickets will be $2 each and prizes will range from a gas grill, chicken coop, Adirondack chair, garden topsoil, and metal lawn sculpture to a metal bench, Gift Certificates, gardening tools, and a jewelry package. Convention goers can purchase tools, seeds, and gardening equipment. Photos from this event should make beautiful additions to the city’s 2015 tourist brochure printing.
The event will get underway at the Exhibition Hall of the Alliant Energy Center, Madison on Friday, February 13 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It will continue on the Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.Get a Free Quote for Gift Certificates
