Madison Region Economic Partnership and the Urban League of Greater Madison will be presenting their 2024 Madison Region Economic Development & Diversity Summit in early May.
The summit will present four panelists and keynote speakers, all noted in their fields. Michele Thorton Ghee, Ebony and Jet Magazine's former CEO, will speak on innovation and leadership in business and media. Pro Football Hall of Famer LeRoy Butler will present inspirational stories about achieving greatness and overcoming adversity. Community Economic Development Specialist Matthew Kures will give his take on regional economic development, and Brain "Woody" White, a Technology Executive, will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on jobs and wider society.
A networking session and a continental breakfast will open the event from 8:00 am to 8:30 am. After the keynote presentation by LeRoy Butler and Matt Kures, the event will break for 10 minutes and then make way for the morning breakout sessions covering topics from AI to entrepreneurship. After a break from noon to 12:15 pm, a lunch and afternoon plenary will be given by Michele Thornton Ghee. At 1:30 pm, the afternoon breakout sessions will resume.
Attendees will be bringing plenty of Business Cards for networking with nonprofit, government, business, and community leaders.
Individual registration for the summit and luncheon will be $249 and $119 for government and nonprofit attendees, respectively.
