Annual jazz festival returns in June

Madison Jazz Festival 2024 will be returning to Madison for 10 days in early June.

The event will feature free concerts, ticketed shows and presentations by some of the genre's finest artists.

Free concerts will include "Puccini, My Love" on the 7th at ArtLitLab, Dan Cavanagh Quartet in the Allen Centennial Garden on the 9th, the opening of the NewBridge Summer Concert Series on the 10th, and the Lenard Simpson Quartet and Madison Jazz Jam on the 11th at North Street Cabaret. Cafe CODA will also have free concerts on the 12th with Mr. Chair and Jazz Vocal Showcase on the 14th.

Ticketed shows will include Raul Midon on the 8th at Cafe CODA, Madson Jazz Festival on the 9th at High Noon Saloon, and "El Arte Del Bolero" with Miguel Zenon and Luis Perdomo at ArtLitLab on the 10th.

The Madison Jazz Festival will culminate with two free events on the Memorial Union Terrace. Saturday June 15th the lineup will include Madison Jazz Fest High School All Stars, Gerri DiMaggio and friends, Heirloom, Orrin Evans Quartet and Azucari.

Sunday guests will be treated to A.S.T.R.O., John Chirstensen Quartet, Pawan Benjamin Trio and the Dee Dee Bridgewater Quartet.

Arts + Literature Laboratory, the Madison Jazz Festival organizer, is a non-profit organization and survives on individual donations and Corporate Gifts.

Jazz enthusiasts often have flyer printing done to get the word out for local events.

Madison Jazz Festival 2024 will run from Friday, June 7th to Sunday June 16th.
