The WI Alpaca & Fiber Fest and the Great Midwest Alpaca Festival will be presented on the same two days at the same location.
Vendors and Breeders will check in, get vet Checks, and breeders will have some social time. Attendees at events such as this usually bring Business Cards and conduct a little networking during this time.
Doors will open for exhibitors at 7:00 am the next morning, and the public will be admitted at 8:00 am. The halter show runs from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm. Weaving experts will hold workshops in Inkle and Rigid weaving. There will be a spin-off display, and a demonstration called “From Crew to Cardigan Steeks.”
Sunday will begin with the halter show at 8:30 am, and production classes will run throughout the day. Over 50 vendors will be selling woodcrafts, soap, and information about their alpacas, goods, and services. Food and beverages will be available for sale, the spin-off display opens, and Bethanea Kottaitz will present a workshop featuring needle-felted Mugs or teacups. The event closes at 3:00 pm for the pubic.
The silent auction will have items such as sock looms, woven alpaca scarves, shawls, an alpaca-filled sleeping bag, and a large bucket of farm items. Organizers of the fest have made event Brochures available.
The two events will take place at the New Holland Pavilion Alliant Energy Center, Pavilion 1 on April 25 and 26, but it may be advisable to check the details regularly with the COVID-19 outbreak likely to develop.
