Wisconsin Marathon comes to Kenosha

The 12th annual Wisconsin Marathon will be coming to Kenosha in early May. This year, the event will only offer a half marathon and a 5K, but there will be a virtual race option.

The in-person race will start with waves. Each cluster will have 60 runners released every three minutes, and times can be chosen upon registration.

Aid stations along the course will have Gatorade and water on tables ready to be grabbed by runners. Grab-and-go food Bags containing traditional cheese will be available at the finish line. Marathon runners will also receive Big Cheese Medals and 5K finishers will receive 5K Runner Ribbons. The top three runners will receive awards in the mail after race day.

Registration for the Half Marathon will be $80 until this Wednesday, March 31, then $85 from April 1 to April 27, and $90 from April 28 to May 21 at 6:30 am. Registration for the 5K will be $30 until March 31, $35 from April 1 to April 28, and $40 from April 29 to May 1 at 6:30 am. Virtual Races will be $60, and registration for it will end April 15 at 9:00 am.

Swag will be women’s or unisex short-sleeved tech shirts sporting this year’s event graphic design. Virtual swag Bags will be sent by e-mail.

In-person Wisconsin Marathon will take place Saturday, May 1 at 5500 1st Street beginning at 7:00 am.
