A Kenosha festival to welcome spring will feature two famous Wisconsin products - cheese and beer.
The Dairy State Cheese & Beer Festival celebrates two of the most famous Wisconsin products and raises money for a good cause at the same time—the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha. The Club is one of a nationwide network of organizations that are dedicated to helping young people develop leadership and character, as well as their cultural, vocational, and educational skills.
The festival features some of Wisconsin’s most popular beers and a variety of cheeses. Live music has also been promised, courtesy of the Big Style Brass Band, and Lynette and the Rock Daddys. The Big Style Brass Band is based in Milwaukee and is a ten-piece group that plays music in the style of New Orleans, in both the traditional and modern styles. A party band, they have appeared in venues throughout the area and festivals such as the Lakefront Festival of the Arts.
Lynette and the Rock Daddys love nothing more than to rock their audiences. They have played benefits for outfits like the Wounded Warrior Fund and appeared at venues like 58 Below.
The festival is set for Saturday, April 15, at The Parkway Chateau, from 1pm until 5pm. The event is for those 21 and over only, and ID is required. Organizers of events like this can make them even more enjoyable for attendees by using flyer printing to create a schedule of events and list of vendors.
