Walk for health in Kenosha

An event is coming up in Kenosha that will help in the fight to end multiple sclerosis (MS).

Walk MS® is an organization dedicated to eliminating the condition. It does so by using walks to raise funds for research into the disease. People from all over the country have taken part to help those affected by MS. Donors, volunteers, and participants have raised more than $1bn to help eradicate the disease.

There are three ways to take part in a Walk MS® event. The first is to take part in an in-person event, the second is to walk virtually, and the third is for a person to create their own event at any day and time convenient for them. Those doing the walk alone will have the same tools and support as any other participants.

Thanks to the Walk MS® community, disease-modifying therapies have been developed for both pediatric and progressive MS. Also, programs such as “Ask an MS Expert” have been launched, allowing those affected by the disease to access necessary information. Finally, Walk MS® has supported 52 bills that advocate for those with MS, and seen them enacted into law.

The walk is scheduled for April 30. The site opens at 9:00 am, and the walk begins at 10:00 am. When events like this are scheduled, organizers can use banner printing to create markers that show the course to be followed.
