Three running events have been scheduled for the Kenosha area over the next couple of months.
Scary on the Prairie 5K will begin and end on Lake Andrea’s west side at the Beach Pavilion. The course will be on limestone/gravel Prairie Farms Trail and on paved paths around the lake.
Registration is $25 online and swag includes finisher medals and T-Shirts featuring a spooky graphic event design.
Participants are encouraged to be in Halloween costumes for the Best Costume contest. The winner will receive free registration to a future race.
The race will take place from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on October 23rd at the RecPlex-Prairie Springs Park, 9900 Terwall Terrace, Pleasant Prairie.
Runners may also be interested in the venue’s Run with the Turkeys 5K Run/Walk. This run begins at 5:00 am November 13, registration is $20 and swag will be finisher medals and turkey T-Shirts. The course will be the same as the one for the Trick-or-Treat run.
An indoor Turkey Triathlon will take place the next morning in the RecPlex, November 14th, from 7:00 am until noon. Participants must be at least eight years old and the event will include 20-minute spin biking sessions, a 10-minute swim in a 50 meter pool, and as much distance as 15 minutes will allow on a treadmill.
Registration will be $35 and swag will include finisher medals, T-Shirts, and goodie Bags.
