A festival that could only take place in the Midwest is coming to Kenosha.
Flannel Fest has something for everyone, from food trucks to live music to an Undie Run, as well as lumberjack shows.
The Undie Run is a 3K race sponsored by Jockey, and is suitable for participants of all ages since runners wear their undies over their clothes. The run has proven to be exceptionally popular and is the highlight of Flannel Fest.
The schedule for the day begins with the Undie Run at 11.30, and the food trucks will open at the same time. The DJ will also take over the Main Stage at this time.
At noon, inflatable bounce houses will be available, and the Beard Contest is set for 12.30 pm. The audience will determine the winner with their applause for the longest, thickest, and most interesting beard. The victor will receive free beer as well as bragging rights.
At 2.30 pm, a Pet Costume Contest takes place, and once again, everyone is encouraged to dress up their pets in the best, funniest costumes they can find.
There are three lumberjack shows scheduled throughout the day, at 1.00 pm, 3.00 pm, and 5.00 pm, and the day ends with live music with Kyle Jennings at 6.00 pm. Flannel Fest is October 5 at The Petrifying Springs Biergarten, 5555 7th Street. When they plan events like this, organizers often work with banner printing to develop decorations suitable for outdoor use.
