The Meraki Trail Adventure and Dirty Dog Dare is slated for early April.
The Meraki Trail Run will be a run or walk through trails in the Richard Bong State Recreation Area. The course is a loop and distances will be according to how many times the runner completes the loop. One time will be the 4.5 race/walk. Two times will be the 9.0 and three times will be the 13.5-mile run.
Running the course this time of year, participants will get an opportunity to hear songbirds, and bullfrogs, see deer, muskrats and other forest fauna along with spring floral. The new grass will offer a little padding underfoot.
The Dirty Dog Dare will be the last CaniCross event for this season. This will be the final test for CaniCross athletes. Kenosha runners and their canine friends, no matter how fit, are also invited to run/walk the 3.5-mile or 7-mile course.
Guests at runs such as this often take pictures. Some take photos to Print shops to be added to family Calendars.
Dirty Dog Dare and Meraki Trail Adventure individual registration will be $39, couples can register for $68 and guests can attend for $7. USA Athletes can run a Virtual CaniCross for $25 and International Athletes can run the virtual event for $33. All military and spouses are invited to run for free.
Meraki Trail Adventure 2020 and Dirty Dog Dare will start at 11:00 am, Sunday, April 5th, in Kansasville, WI.
