An upcoming event in Kenosha celebrates and honors women battling cancer.
The Sisters Network of Southeast Wisconsin is the organizer of the 2nd Annual Pink Chair Affair Brunch. The theme of the gathering is “Hats off for a Cause: A Celebration of Hope,” and refers to the fact the brunch is being held in honor of the caregivers, thrivers, survivors, and community partners who work with woman with breast cancer.
Awards will be presented at the luncheon to those who have contributed to the health of women in the community. An inspirational speaker is also on the agenda, and the impact the Sisters Network has had will be acknowledged.
The Sisters Network hopes to increase awareness of breast cancer in the State of Wisconsin. The organization provides support, advocacy, and education to African American women in the Southern Wisconsin/Northern Illinois area.
In addition to awards, there will be a delicious brunch, live music, and a silent auction. Proceeds will go to support the Sisters Network’s ongoing outreach effort. Attendees are encouraged to wear something pink and top off their outfits with a pink hat.
The luncheon is set for December 7, from 11.30 am until 2.00 pm. The venue is the Stella Hotel & Ballroom on 8th Avenue in Kenosha. Tickets are $45 and will not be available at the door. Posters are often used to publicize events like this, because they are attractive and effective, and can be created by local Print shops.
