Kenosha has annual civic veterans parade

The 2021 Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade is scheduled for late June. As always, the parade will be presented by the City of Kenosha with lead sponsor Snap-on, Inc. This year’s theme is “A Centennial Celebration: Women’s Right to Vote.”

Business and commercial units will be entering floats, cars, and walking units. Walking units at events such as this often get banner printing arranged beforehand to introduce themselves to the spectators.

Civic organizations such as scout troops, hobby clubs, non-profits, and houses of worship will also be among the participants.

Fire and Police Departments, veteran groups, candidates, and elected officials have also been asked to participate. These groups often are represented by cars, trucks, color guards, and horse patrols.

The parade will be inundated with pop bands, marching bands, and music blaring from the floats.

Hometown heroes from previous years’ parades, Pamela Mundling and Dennis Warren, will be leading the parade again this year.

Many parade participants will be entering colorful decorated rolling units. These floats will compete in categories such as Best in Show, Patriotism, Artistic Excellence, Hometown Pride, Best Use of Theme, and Spirit/Energy. The viewing stand will be located outside City Hall in Veterans Memorial Park.

The 2021 Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade will be on June 27, stepping off at 1:00 pm. All parade applications are due by May 28.
