Center offers Twilight Jazz Summer Concert lineup

The Twilight Jazz Summer Concert series at the Anderson Arts Center has two jazz concerts left this season, which are to take place early in September.

On September 1st, the program will be The Kai Bergendahl Project. The six-man group is headed by Kai Jon Bergendahl, a Kenosha educator, jazz bassist, and arranger. Bergendahl has been part of the jazz scene in and around southeast Wisconsin since 1997. The group’s newest album, ‘Parallels Chapter II’, will drop the same day as the concert.

The last concert of the season will be the Jazz Spectrum on September 8th. The Jazz Spectrum is a vocal quartet accompanied by a rhythm section and three horns. In addition to jazz, the group’s repertoire includes ballads, big band hits, and 50s rock and roll. Fans can get Promotional Products, including hats, on the group’s website.

Although the event will be free, guests will be able to purchase drinks and food at the venue. Tickets for the Anderson Arts Center fundraiser 50/50 raffle will also be available for purchase.

The Twilight Jazz Summer Concert series takes place at the Anderson Arts Center’s south end. The two-hour events invite everyone to bring blankets and chairs to sit out on the lawn. Gates will open at 6:00pm and the performances will begin at 7:00pm. The Anderson Arts Center is located at 6603 3rd Avenue, Kenosha.
