Anderson Arts Center holds summer concerts

Twilight Jazz, a series of free outdoor concerts, will take place on the Anderson Arts Center’s south lawn during July and August.

The series will open with Janet Planet on June 29th. Scat Cats will take the stage on July 13th, and The Kal Bergendahl Project will follow on July 27th. The John Crawford Jazz Band will entertain the audience on August 10th. These bands will perform from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Fans of bands such as these often like to wear Promotional Products sporting the band’s Logo Design.

The Kenosha County Suffrage Celebration on August 24th will be the finale for the series. This will be a celebration of the 19th Amendment’s 100th Anniversary. The evening will be Blues and Twilight Jazz with Elaine Dame starting at 7:30 pm. Ivy Ford will be opening the evening at 5:00 pm with music and comments about Twilight Jazz. This event will begin at 6:00 pm and end around 9:00 pm.

Gates open at 6:00 pm for the first four performances and at 4:00 pm on the last performance. Food and beverages will be available for a small fee. Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.

Funds generated from these concerts will go to sustain and support both the Kemper Center and Anderson Arts Center. They will also be used to promote community arts education programs.

The Anderson Arts Center is located within the Kemper Center grounds at 6603 Third Avenue.
