Riverside Music Festival about to swing round

Janesville is in for a musical treat in a couple of weeks when Riverside Park will be holding its annual Riverside Music Festival.

The music will be free, and the Lions Club will be cooking chicken on the grill. Everyone is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

The bookmobile will be available, and the Home Depot will have building activities for the children. Bounce houses will have designated age groups assigned to them. There will be face painting, and talented clowns will be strolling through the park.

Families can use the Splash Pad or just enjoy fishing, walking around the park, or watching boats meander down the river. Shuffleboard and a pickle ball demonstration will begin at 1:00 pm.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The Lions Club will be serving grilled chicken from 11:00 am until supplies runs out or 6:00 pm, depending on which comes first.

Steve Doiel and Teresa Moore-Doiel will provide the musical entertainment from 11:30 am until 2:15 pm. The Go Deans Rock Band will take over at 2:45 pm and go until 5:30 pm. Fans may want to check with the duo or the band to see if they have any Promotional Products for sale.

The festival is slated to start at 11:00 am on August 21, at Riverside Park, 2600 Parkside Drive. It will end sometime around 6:00 pm.
