Janesville runs the Rock

The 4th Annual Run the Rock will take place here in Janesville in late April.

Registration will be $75 for the full marathon beginning at 7:00 am, $65 for the half marathon beginning at 7:15 am, and $40 for the 10k and 5k beginning at 8:00 am. The two-mile untimed Family Run/Walk will cost $35 and the Isaac's Super Dash will be $15, both beginning at 8:15 am.

All proceeds will go to the Isaac Strong Foundation, which supports children and families experiencing cancer. Participants can expect event T-shirts, finisher medals, race bibs, a post-race festival, and awards for the top three female and male finishers in each race.

The full marathon will mostly be an out-and-back along connector roads, Rock River pathways, and long stints along the Ice Age Trail. The half marathon will follow the same route but turning around at a shorter distance. The 10k and 5k will be straightforward out-and-backs. The 2-mile Family Run will be a short out-and-back through downtown Janesville. The Isaac's Super Dash will be a closed-loop, short sprint close to the finish line.

The 2026 Run the Rock will begin at the Downtown Janesville Festival Street, 69 S River Street on Sunday, April 26.
