Janesville runs the Shamrock

Janesville is invited to participate in this year's Janesville Shamrock 5k & 10k Shuffle coming in mid-March.

Registration is $35 for each race until February 27th when prices will go to $45.00.

Swag will include free t shirts guaranteed to those registering before March 1st, and one free drink ticket to use at after party. The first 300 finishers will be guaranteed finisher medals. Festivities after the race will include bands and a beer tent.

All of the proceeds from the race will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Janesville.

The 5k route will be fast and flat, taking runners and walkers on the classic downtown loop of riverfront, neighborhoods and commercial streets. The 10k extends extra east-side mileage onto the 5k loop. The 1-Mile Family Walk will be a simple out-and-back loop around the neighborhood that begins and ends at 214 W Milwaukee Street, which is the same as the start/finish of the other two races.

Race bibs will be available for pickup at the Bos and Girls Club of Janesville, Friday, March 13th from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Check-in will be from 9:30 am to 10:15 am at O'Riley & Conway's Irish Pub from 9:30 am to 10:15 am on race day, March 14th, and all races will begin at 10:30 am.
