Star Spangled Saturday comes to Janesville

Most of Janesville will likely be turning out for Star Spangled Saturday coming in late June.

Along with fireworks, attendees will be treated to live music, pontoon rides, food from a truck, drinks in the beer tents, and kids' games in the Amusement Rides and Family Zone.

On the Riverside Back Patio at the Bodacious Shops of Block 42, Nathan Dean will be playing ‘60s through current hits from iconic groups such as Queen and Fleetwood Mac. This concert will be free and will run from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

One of the big features of the festival will be the 3rd and 4th rounds of the Great Lakes Water cross Jet Ski Races.

This will be a high-energy competition that highlights skill, and speed. Riders will be practicing beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday before the competition begins at 11:00 am while Sunday's will begin at 9:30 am. Admission will be free.

The Rock Aqua Jay water ski show will be starting at 7:00 pm.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and get there early to secure good viewing spaces for the fireworks display, which will start around 8:30 pm right after the ski show. Pyrotechnic manufacturers often have photographers take pictures during shows like this, put them on Business Cards and use them for advertising purposes.

Star Spangled Saturday will take place from noon to 10:00 pm on Saturday, June 27 at Traxler Park, 600 N Main.
