Janesville supports cancer charities

Janesville's Isaac Strong Foundation will hold its fourth annual Go Gold Dinner and the Rock County Cancer Coalition will host a Battle of the Sexes in the latter part of January.

Guests attending the Go Gold Dinner will be treated to an evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, a silent auction and dancing. Tickets will be $75, and proceeds will go to the Isaac Strong Foundation, which provides Rock County families dealing with childhood cancer $500 per month to help with expenses. Guests must RSVP by January 15th if they wish to attend this event.

Sponsorships are available at $500, $1000 and $2500 levels and include 2, 6, and 10 complimentary tickets respectively, signage at the event, and recognition on social media.

Organizers of events like this may be required to get sponsor names and logos to local Print shops in plenty of time before any program or brochure printing can be done.

This year's Go Gold Dinner will begin at 5:30 pm, on January 22nd, 2026, at the Janesville Country Club, 2615 W. Memorial Drive.

A couple of days later on Saturday, January 24th, the Rock County Cancer Coalition will be holding a Battle of the Sexes fundraiser. Six local ladies and six gentlemen will be competing in a series of challenges against their counterparts from the opposite sex. A DJ and dancing will follow the competition.

Guests are asked to donate $5 at the door, with proceeds going to the Rock County Cancer Coalition.

Battle of the Sexes will start at 7:30 pm at Bazinga of Janesville, based at1950 Center Avenue.
