Rotary Botanical Gardens will be promoting Earth Day here in Janesville towards the end of April.
This event will be an experience with something for everyone. Education volunteers will be manning activities and hands-on crafts, and there will also be inactive exhibits. Food vendors will be selling the standard fair snacks and drinks while local vendors and organizations will be discussing eco-friendly initiatives and displaying their services and products.
Many non-profit organizations that participate in events like this often have Business Cards and Brochures with their mission statements, current programs, locations, and times of operation available for passers-by.
One of the special features will be the ZooZort Live Animal Program. Noelle Bezio, a licensed animal educator, will be presenting exotic species for up-close encounters for guests. Some animals she usually brings are an armadillo, fox, chameleon, and a python along with small exotics. She will be discussing the animals' habitats, behaviors, and special abilities.
Tickets are $5 for ages three and older and free for kids under two. Timeslots will be selected at registration. They run from 11:00 am to 11:50 am, 12:30 pm to 1:20 pm, and 2:00 pm to 2:50 pm. Event admission and parking will be free.
The Rotary Botanical Gardens Earth Day Celebration will take place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 26 at 1455 Palmer Drive.
