Janesville locals looking for a good reason to get out of the house this holiday season may want to attend the Field of Friends Craft and Vendor Fair coming in the latter half of November.
This event is a fundraiser to collect much-needed Christmas gifts and money to help support Orfordville Children's Christmas Benefit (OCCB), which has been established to aid families in need in Rock County during the Christmas season.
The event, which is free to attend, will serve as a host for food and craft vendors who will be donating proceeds to the OCCB. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be making an appearance. Some items purchased at the fair are sure to make suitable gifts for giving during the holidays. The fair will also feature a diaper and baby wipe drive and a raffle, with prizes donated by vendors at the event, including a 3D printed green dragon standing at six feet.
Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped gift suitable for a child for donation, with a value of at least $20.
Vendors at events such as this often slip colorful Business Cards in with purchases and raffle donations.
The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Express at the Janesville Convention Center, 3100 Wellington Place on Saturday, November 22 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
