Janesville Morning Rotary will be holding its 21st Annual Pie Ride later in June.
The event will include family-friendly routes ranging from 5k to 100K. Recreational and competitive riders are also invited to take part. Proceeds will go to local charities.
All routes will be taking riders through southern Wisconsin and will be paved, well-marked, and less traveled bike routes. Rest stops will be supplied with beverages and food. Bike mechanics are available at the start/finish line, where music will also be played. Cue sheets for the 50k and 100k routes are available online.
Registration is $40 per individual and $80 per family (two adults and kids under 18). Along with pies (one per individual and two per family) given out at the finish line, other swag will include adult-sized long-sleeved T-shirts sporting this year’s Pie Ride Logo Design.
Registration will open at 6:45 am and the course, rest stops, support SAG vehicles, and activities at the start/finish line will open at 7:00 am and close at 2:00 pm. Riders can begin their routes once they are checked in. Helmets will be required and masks must be worn at the start/finish line area.
The 2021 Janesville Pie Ride will begin and end at Lion’s Beach in front of the Lions Beach House at 1401 Palmer Drive, on Saturday, June 19.
