Jolly Jingle comes to Janesville

The annual Jolly Jingle will take place early in December.

On all three days, the event will offer a Jingle Bell Trail. Participants will find five wooden jingle bells situated in and around the Town Square by following clues found at each bell. Pictures taken at the last bell can be sent to the event Facebook page to be entered into a drawing for prizes.

Families that take pictures like these often take the photos to local Stationery printers to be made into Christmas cards.

Snow and building supplies will be available for creative people to build anything they want in the Build Your Own Winter Wonderland. This activity will take place in the Town Square, 21 Dodge Street.

On the Friday evening at 6:00 pm, there will be the annual Downtown Tree Lighting. City Manager Mark Freitag will give a few remarks and music will be provided by JPAC students. The tree will then be li,t after which members of the Trinity Episcopal Church and St. Nicholas will lead the crowd through the square singing Christmas carols. The caroling stroll will end at the Square right before the annual fireworks.

Other events will include cookie creations, presentation of A Christmas Carol, Ice skating show, and Holiday Light Show.

On Saturday, beginning at 6:00 pm, the Holiday Lighted Parade will march around Janesville’s downtown area.

The 2021 Jolly Jingle will take place December 3, 4, and 5 in downtown Janesville.
