Janesville will be celebrating the Easter season with two events toward the end of March.
Both Uptown and Downtown Janesville will be having Easter events on March 23rd. From 10:00 am to noon, Town Square in Downtown Janesville will be holding its annual Eggstravaganza. Over 20,000 eggs will be distributed over the four different egg hunts that, beginning at 11:00 am. Children from 0-4 years old will have their hunt at Dvorak Landscape Field, while the kids from ages 5 to 8 will go to the Kim Colby Homes Field. Kids ages 9 to 12 will have their hunt at Wednesday Morning Optimists Field. Egg hunters are advised to remember to bring their own baskets.
A Sensory Friendly zone will be at the Cope-Ryan Pavilion for little ones needing a quieter environment to find their 10 eggs.
Meanwhile, Uptown Mall will be having its Echo Easter Event from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Parents are being encouraged to bring along their cameras to get pictures of their children with the Easter Bunny. Families often take pictures such as these to local Print shops to be added to family Calendars and newsletters.
The venue will have activities for the kids, a bake sale and silent auction.
