To counteract the midwinter blahs and contribute to a good cause as well, many here in town may want to spend an evening attending a dinner and a play.
Chicken Boy Productions will be presenting a murder mystery comedy in an interactive play format. The play, titled ‘Christmas Carol Revisited’ will be presented after a dinner buffet.
The mystery is set in the aftermath of Charles Dickens' miser Ebenezer Scrooge’s transformation into one of mid-19th century London’s beloved humanitarians. The effect of the generous sharing of wealth on those around Scrooge led to a murder. Each character, from Tiny Tim (now healthy and spoiled), to Bob Cratchit (who has become a workaholic), to Scrooge’s nephew Fred (who has come into debt due to his avarice and the desire for power), is under suspicion.
Before the play, guests will be treated to a buffet dinner that will include dessert. Proceeds for the event will be donated to ECHO (Everyone Cooperating to Help Others) of Janesville.
The evening will take place tomorrow, January 23, starting at 6:30 pm at the UAW Hall, 1795 LaFayette Street, Janesville. A mingle and cocktails will be available from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, offering an opportunity to exchange digital Business Cards.
