Many Janesville runners are getting into shape to run the Janesville Shamrock Shuffle 5k or 10k run/walk coming in mid-March. As in past years, many runners will arrive dressed in their green shamrock finest.
The 5k, the 10k and the Janesville Shamrock Shuffle 1 Mile Family Walk will each cost $35 until February 28th, $45 from March 1 to 14, and $55 on Race Day.
Registration includes one free drink and T-shirt, although shirts cannot be guaranteed to those registering after March 1. Finisher medals will go to the first 300 finishers. Velocity Multi-Sport & Cycling will provide professional race timing. O'Riley & Conway's will have check-in and race day registration from 9:45 am to 10:15 am.
The runs and family walk will be along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail that runs along the Rock River. All proceeds from the event will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Janesville.
Sponsorships are available at $500, $1,000, $2,500 and $5,000 levels. Each sponsor's logo must be sent to the event organizers before the signage, shirts, and race bibs get sent to the Print shops.
The afterparty will be in a beer tent and will feature live music from local bands.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 15 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon at 214 W Milwaukee Street.
