After Christmas, there will still be a few days to view the Rotary Botanical Gardens’ Holiday Light Show. Over 46,000 visitors came during the 21 nights of the festival last year.
Over 500,000 sparkling lights will greet the guests as their walk around the gardens. The outside gardens and walkway will have 75 decorated garden obelisks, 100 lit archways, 100 decorated evergreens, 800 icicles, 2,300 luminaries, and 100 individual displays. The last Friday of the light show will be Wacky Winter Hat Night.
The concession stand will be indoors and offer hot drinks and treats. An antique sleigh will also be indoors that can be used for family photos. Although too late for this year’s Christmas cards, photos take here can be taken to Stationery printers as the last picture for family 2019 Calendars.
Tickets are $5 for adults and kids ages two and above and can be used for any show. Proceeds from the show will go toward Rotary Botanical Gardens services and upkeep of the grounds.
The final nights of the Rotary Botanical Gardens’ Holiday Light Show will be December 27, 28, 29, and 30 from 4:30 until 9:00 pm. Last tickets will be sold at 8:30 pm. The gardens are located at 1455 Palmer Drive.
Everyone is advised to park at Dawson Field and take the free shuttle service. The field is located at 920 Beloit Avenue.
