Janesville will begin this year’s festive season with holiday card making and indoor and outdoor Holiday Tree Shows coming towards the end of next month.
Rock County Historical Society is once again hosting its annual Holiday Tree Show - Outdoor Edition. Its campus will be inundated with 30 decorated and lighted trees situated around the Lincoln-Tallman House. The trees will be on display day and night for the duration of the holiday season so the community may walk or drive through at any time.
Meanwhile, over 130 decorations and bejeweled trees will be on display inside the Lincoln-Tallman House, 426 N Jackson St., Thursdays through Sundays from November 25 through the end of the year. The trees and decorations will have been festooned by local families, non-profits, and businesses.
Open-house tours of the mansion will take place from noon until 7:00 pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and from noon to 4:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The Holiday Tree Show – Indoor Edition will be closed Christmas Day and Christmas Eve. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
Hedberg Public Library will hold a holiday card making session in its Program Room on November 29, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. People, especially those with artistic abilities, often create their own Holiday Cards, then take them to local Stationery printers to have them duplicated for family and friends.
