Janesville showcases local talent

During January, Janesville Performing Arts Center will be featuring seven evenings of local artists for its Local Talent Month.

JPAC’s Improv Comedy Troupe will start things off on January 3rd. The audience will suggest themes and the actors will present short unscripted, comical, spontaneous vignettes.

On January 4, the Rock County Brewing Company will present Brew and View. This will be an evening of vintage movies, and craft beer will be available for purchase.

JPAC’s One Act Festival will come next on January 9 through 11 at 7:30 pm. This will be a series of short plays presented by local actors, directors, and playwrights.

Dueling pianos will be on January 17. Requests, singing, and dancing will be the focus of the evening as two entertainers play two grand pianos.

Wisconsin singers and songwriters community will be presenting an evening of Tastes & Tunes on January 18. Music will be acoustic and the performer will be Willy Porter.

The Hendricks Family Foundation will take the stage January 24 through 26. This will be the 3rd year for the local production of true stories of rural life in Rock County. Area artists will also be featuring their original score.

Comedy on Main will end the month on January 31. Local talent in an intimate environment will present 90 minutes of laughs.

Fans of local artists commonly like to get a little flyer printing done to help advertise events like these.
